WWE Online Tournament Champion Will Win Tickets to WrestleMania
February 5, 2008 | 3:48 PM PST

Are you ready? You think that you're better? Well you better get ready... to prove your mettle online.

THQ breaks it down with GameStop and Major League Gaming to present the WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 International Tournament, wherein gamers from around the world are invited to partake of the opportunity to beat each other from pillar to post for a chance to be the World Champion... and to win floor seats to WrestleMania 24 on March 30th in Orlando.

To register, just go to GameStop's site and enter before February 8th. Then, starting Saturday, February 9th, the top 32 teams from each region-- North America, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe-- will begin their virtual slobberknocking with the top competitors advancing through the online tournament brackets.

The top four in each region will move on to the regional finals in early March, with the North American finals taking place at GameStop's World-Class Tournament Center in San Jose, California.

The two NA finalists, along with one from the UK and another from continental Europe, will go head-to-head at the 6th Annual THQ Superstar Challenge on March 27, 2008 at the House of Blues in Orlando. There, the contenders will not only face off against each other before a capacity crowd, but will get to bask in the limelight with the WWE Superstars that will be in attendance.

Once the dust settles, the winner will get two tickets for the honor of sitting ringside at The Grandest Stage of Them All. In addition, the other three jabronies (that one's not passe now, is it?) will still get to see the show, each receiving two stadium tickets.

Editor's Take: Wow, I wish I had the game and was good enough to warrant entry. I've been to WrestleMania before, back when The Rock faced off against Hulk Hogan, but I don't think I've been fortunate enough to see HBK in action at a live event (save for a run-in for Jeff Hardy on Raw once), much less main-eventing a WrestleMania.

...which we all know he's going to do, once he beats the other five guys at No Way Out, right?
