With Bionic Commando and its prequel, Bionic Commando Rearmed, both on the way to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the folks at Capcom thought that it might be a good idea to tie the two games together a little more closely than they're already doing.

And so, to that end they're creating an official webcomic known as Bionic Commando: Chain of Command. According to The Bionic Commando Newswire, the comic will be updated on a weekly basis every Wednesday.

Chain of Command will be scripted by celebrated comic book writer Andy Diggle, known for work on Batman: Confidential, Green Arrow: Year One, Hellblazer, Swamp Thing, and The Punisher. The story will follow the events of the original NES game and fill in the details of what happened to Nathan Spencer after his rescue of Super Joe and the defeat of Master D and the Badds.
