UPDATE:
This isn't another April Fool's shenanigan, best we can tell. Harmonix has confirmed to Joystiq that Jonathan Coulton's "Still Alive" will remain free across the 360 and PS3 for all time. Not a bad deal!
Original story:
Back at GDC, news hit the wire that the famous Internet meme song from Portal, "Still Alive," by Jonathan Coulton, would soon enough be making its way to Rock Band in DLC form. Today, Harmonix announced that the song would be available for free starting on April Fool's Day, but the song then became available for download early, today, taking Portal and Rock Band lovers by sweet, sweet surprise.
There is some bad news, though, and it's for PlayStation 3 owners. While Xbox 360 gamers can immediately start rockin' to "Still Alive" on their console of choice, PS3 owners will have to wait a couple of weeks, for the re-launch of the PSN Store. Sorry, folks.
