Remember a few weeks ago when Rush's album "Moving Pictures" was supposed to be released to Rock Band and got delayed due to technical difficulties? Get out your Geddy Lee glasses and prepare to rock because tt's fixed! Next week will see the release of "Moving Pictures" for the cost of 880 Microsoft points ($11). Pretty good deal for 7 tracks of pure awesomeness.
Along with the Rush album, Harmonix will be releasing 6 tracks from various other bands for standard price of 160 Microsoft Points ($2). It seems as though it's a good mix of songs for people that might have just grabbed a copy of Rock Band 2 this past week. Here's the list:
- "Sorrow" by Bad Religion
- "She Sells Sanctuary" by The Cult
- "Bandages" by Hot Hot Heat
- "Shoot the Runner" by Kasabian
- "You're No Rock N Roll Fun" by Sleater-Kinney
- "Love Spreads" by Stone Roses
Looks like it's going to be pretty expensive week for me. Every single one of these songs is worth checking out, but if I had to choose 3 must-haves they would have to be Sorrow, Bandages, and Love Spreads. It's a pretty wide range of styles and they're songs everyone seems to know. You really can't go wrong with "She Sells Santuary" though. They used to play that song for a car dealership where I grew up and it got me pumped every time I heard it.
I was a pretty lonely kid.
