Bungie Doesn't View Three to Five Hour Halo 3 Recon as 'a $60 Title'

We mentioned yesterday that the new issue of Game Informer would dish out some new info on Bungie's latest Halo project, Halo 3: Recon, and what great luck; someone at Halo.Bungie.Org got their hands on the issue, and better still, they're willing to share some of the details:It doesn't contain any new screenshots, but there's quite a bit of concept art, and there's a lot of description of how the game is going to work. There are some very interesting tidbits included:They add that the issue should be hitting mailboxes today, or soon enough, but those waiting to buy it off the shelf may have to wait a couple of weeks. The game sounds to be a lot of fun to play - you'll need to read the article for details. -- Game Informer, via Halo.Bungie.Org
- Paul Bertone describes the scope of H3:R as "a three to five-hour expansion pack"
- Recon Armor will be earnable for all - complete the Vidmaster Challenge series of achievements and it's yours
- Bungie's Joe Staten says "we do not view this as a $60 title"
- The cover art is spectacular, and has been whipped up by Bungie newcomer Jaime Jones (google him - I found this gallery of pretty amazing stuff)
So, I wonder how much they'll charge for something like this. For that matter, at three to five hours, how much are you willing to pay?
