After concerns surfaced about the Xbox exclusive downloadable content slipping to next year, Rockstar was not to very quick in denying the rumor. I guess this is why:
"USA Today is reporting that the narrative, titled "Lost and Damned" and due February 17, will shift to The Lost biker gang member Johnny Klebitz. Klebitz is described as being "very different" from former protagonist Niko Bellic, with Niko himself fading into the background and only making a few cameo apperancesThe release date of February 17 seems quite a bit later then what was initially promised, but who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth. Many industry analysts are expecting a twenty dollar price point for the additional content. These same experts say that if this is in fact the price point, Rockstar could sell two to three million copies of the DLC.
"I can't go into too much detail on the story, because we try not to give away too much plot before the game is released," said Rockstar Games vice president of creative development Dan Houser. "But I can say that the story will show you a different side of Liberty City."
What that new side of Liberty City will constitute, we're not sure. But we do know that it will explain "tons of details and mysteries from the main story" and that it will "add a lot of color to the main story." Houser also hinted that Lost and Damned won't be the last GTA4 DLC pack.
"We feel like we've only scratched the surface in terms of depth and detail," Houser said. " -- 1up.com
More interesting is the fact that they seem to be abandoning Niko, in favor of bringing a new lead character to the forefront. I look forward to checking this content out as soon as it becomes available. Are you going to be a part of the millions projected to buy this?
