More People Played Halo 3 on XBL During Thanksgiving Week Than Gears of War 2

Are you as surprised as I am? Major Nelson updated today with the most-played games of the week of November 24th, which was Thanksgiving week, and Halo 3 topped Gears of War 2. Here's the full list:
- Halo 3
- Gears of War 2
- CoD: World at War
- Call of Duty 4
- GTA IV
- Fable II
- Left 4 Dead
- Madden NFL 09
- Fallout 3
- FIFA 09
Whether you like Halo 3 or Gears 2 more, you have to admit that this was unexpected. Granted, there are more copies of Halo 3 out there, but Gears 2 was easily the most-anticipated Xbox 360 game of the year, so you'd expect it to own November.
Now, how will Cliffy B respond?
