One year ago, in two-thousand and seven;
Rare sent out a Christmas card, which teased new super-combo heaven.
For on that card, stockings were hung by the chimney so dear;
Leading to hopes that Killer Instinct 3 soon would be here...

It is now nearing Christmas, two-thousand and eight;
And Rare has insisted, there's no KI3 on their plate.
So when it came time to send a new card to the industry's girls and boys;
They remembered what happened last year;
And said "Screw all that noise."

...or so goes one theory about that noticable difference between this year's card (seen above) and last.
