Analysts and consumers alike have been expecting the price of Sony's PlayStation 3 to drop, just about any day now. Sharing that mindset, Microsoft's Xbox 360 Product Manager Aaron Greenberg expects that such a drop is likely to come sooner rather than later, in spite of Sony's claims to the contrary.
"We absolutely expect the PS3 price drop to happen in the next couple of months. We're frankly surprised it's taken this long. ... I would expect they'd have to move on price, sooner than later, for sure." -- Aaron Greenberg, to Edge Online
In addition, Greenberg told Edge that 2008 has been the "biggest year ever in Xbox history," as the company sold 10.3 million units throughout the year, along with 7 million new Xbox Live members added.
