In the Upcoming Mass Effect Comic, 'Redemption' Begins in January

BioWare and Dark Horse Comics are teaming up to deliver a four-part Mass Effect comic series, one that will be a precursor to Mass Effect 2.
The series is titled Mass Effect: Redemption and is being written by BioWare Lead Writer Mac Walters, the man responsible for Mass Effect 2's script. John Jackson Miller (The Invincible Iron Man) will be scripting the comic based off Walters' story, and Omar Francia (Star Wars Legacy) will handle the comic's art.
"Fans of Mass Effect are going to be pleasantly shocked by the events in these comics," Mac Walters wrote in BioWare's press release. "We worked very closely with Dark Horse to make sure this story was built in to the Mass Effect 2 arc, right from the ground up. Reading the series won't just add to your experience of the universe, it will change the way you look at Mass Effect 2… and beyond."
Walters and Francia will be at San Diego Comic-Con signing autographs at the Dark Horse booth on Friday, the 24, at 4:00 PM.
I'm not much of a comic book fan, but I do love me some Mass Effect – perhaps a little too much. So it's a safe bet I'll be first in line at Brave New Worlds in Philadelphia when this thing hits store shelves on January 6.
