The 1999 Aliens versus Predator game for the PC is still one of my all time favorite games. Honestly, it's the first game I remember playing online competitive multiplayer in, so it holds a special place in my heart. Even cooler, is the fact that Rebellion Developments, the guys who made the game, are currently working on the reboot/remake/re-whatever of the series. Much like the 1999 version of the game, the upcoming Aliens Vs. Predator will feature three different campaigns, one as an Alien, one as a Predator, and one as a human. You will also be able to play each of these three characters in the multiplayer. One of the best parts of the 1999 version of AvP was how well balanced the multiplayer between the three classes was.
But enough with the reminiscing.
The upcoming Sega-published AvP was shown off at E3 to the pleasure of many. However, we got very tight-lipped answers about the release date. Today, Sega updated the website for the game and it now lists the release date as February 2010. No specific date but I can't wait much longer for this one so I'm hoping we don't see a delay.
