The upcoming post-apocalyptic, first-person shooter RPG (yeah, that's a mouth full), Borderlands, will be getting DLC. Speaking at this year's GamesCom in Germany, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford confirmed the game will have at least two pieces of additional content.
"People are going to be surprised when they find out how quickly we're coming, and with what content we're coming," said Pitchford. "Also, we're going to watch and see what happens when the game launches, so we can have our plans affected by what our customers want more of. But we do have some plans for the initial stuff already in motion, and I'll be announcing that soon."
The Gearbox CEO later tweeted that the DLC will not be content that was cut from the game.
I hope this last bit of information is true. There has been one too many games whose DLC felt like it should have been something included in the game. There's nothing like paying $10 or $20 dollars on top of an already $60 game just so it's complete.
Either way, Borderlands is out on October 20th and that day can't come soon enough.
