Media: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - GC 09: Producer Interview

Konami and Kojima Productions' Castlevania: Lords of Shadow looks as though it may reinvigorate the franchise with its mix of 3D gameplay (hopefully better than previous attempts) and attractive voice acting, featuring such notables as Patrick Stewart.
But what else is there to pull in old fans and newcomers alike? Producer Dave Cox enlightens us:
Aw, no candles? Will there at least be wall-meat? I mean, he did say there would be new objects from which to gain items, but these are staples!
But seriously, I kind of like the idea of an alternate universe take on Castlevania, but I still hope that Igarashi has his stuff going on. Perhaps with any luck, this will stoke some sort of competitive fire in him, and we'll see him take his game (so to speak) to the next level.
