The FCC has reviewed what appears to be a new wireless adaptor for the Xbox 360 that is supposed to be twice as fast as the current one. No details on release or price point have been given.
The two antennas on the "Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adapter" indicate that the router is supposed to push raw data at twice the rate of the current adapter. It is also supposed to have improved range.
Probably the most important detail that hasn't been revealed yet is price. The current Xbox 360 wireless adapter costs $99 while literally every other game hardware on the market has wifi built-in. Other, cheaper adapters however have been confirmed to work with the 360.
The new adapter seems to have been made in order to comply with the newly standardized 802.11n wifi format. This is the same format that most wireless devices have been using for a couple years now.
