Monster and Modern Warfare 2 Assault Energy Drinks

The nice FedEx lady came by with a rather odd shaped box. It wasn't a game and it wasn't some peripheral or hardware device. It was… a box of energy drinks? Apparently so and a nice note was tucked inside from Activision informing me that in October, Monster energy drinks and Modern Warfare 2 are teaming up for a promotion that involves giving away a bunch of stuff. What can you win? Click on through to see more pictures as well as the prizes.
It's called Assault and features Modern Warfare 2 logos and characters. Monster is giving away Hardened Editions of Modern Warfare 2, future map packs, premium console themes and more Monster drinks. The redeemable online codes are printed right on the bottom of a 4-pack. The taste is like most other energy drinks only with a hint of the flavor red, which I assume is cherry.
If you have a membership to Sam's Club and get the 6-pack, you'll be given access to the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Combat Training Experience," which is some online event to give you an deeper look at the game that sounds somewhat like the old Nintendo "Camp Hyrule" stuff. The hype train is reaching full steam and thanks to the Modern Warfare energy drinks, we'll all be that much more on-edge and anxious for the November 10 release date.
The reason I'm posting this? This is the first time in 5 years I have been sent food from a publisher. We media types run on energy drinks. Good call, Activision. Good call.
