Media: Super Street Fighter IV - Super Upgrades Interview, New Trailer with Dee Jay
October 1, 2009 | 5:17 PM PST
Day by day, new trailers and new versions of old trailers seem to be coming out for Super Street Fighter IV. The latest one reveals another returning New Challenger from the original Super Street Fighter II, the dancing Jamaican Dee Jay:
Wow, Juri just decimated Bison at the end there, didn't she? I wonder if there will be some sort of story going on between those two?
And on another note, I suppose this means all of the "II Crew" are back together, doesn't it?
Next up is an interview with Super Street Fighter IV Producer Yoshinori Ono, who talks a bit about what we can expect from this update to 2009's biggest fighting game:
Hmm, sounds like we can expect more returning characters... some more from the Alpha series, perhaps? And I wonder what sort of new special moves we can expect, particularly in the case of any classic characters who may happen to receive them.
I like how for the animated part of the promotional trailers, they've actually looked back at the promotional materials for Super Street Fighter II and tried to replicate the feel of the art sketches used at the time. Too bad they can't go further and implement it into the game's graphic style, though.
They're aiming for a Spring 2010 release, as noted before, which would be roughly a year after the first Street Fighter IV arrived on consoles. I wonder if we should expect a Super Street Fighter IV Turbo to arrive sometime around Spring 2011?
