As a part of the Xbox 360 Fall Dashboard update, Microsoft has revealed some new details about Halo Waypoint, which among other things will track in-game accomplishments across the Halo games released for the Xbox 360 (meaning the first two games are out).
Here is the preview video from Joystiq:
Halo Waypoint will be available to Xbox LIVE Gold and Silver members alike beginning November 5th, but the gravy train comes to a halt for Silver members to disembark on the 26th; from then on, they'll have to shell out some [insert form of Halo currency here] to keep up their access.
"That's a solid three weeks to determine if the exclusive Waypoint offerings – like the Nov. 7. preview of the "Halo Legends" anime anthology – are worth it," Joystiq notes. "We imagine it will be for the hardcore Halo fan ... but we'd assume they've already got a Gold account."
According to Major Nelson's Twitter, Waypoint will be a part of the Dashboard preview program which people are being selected for. Those who tried to sign up will find out Friday if they succeeded.
