Media: Ron Jeremy Stars in Fairytale Fights Trailers, Plus Free DLC
October 27, 2009 | 12:13 PM PST
I don't know how many of you are planning on picking up Fairytale Fights for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as it hits store shelves today, but just the same, I thought maybe the following trailers might be of interest.
Adult film actors unite when Ron Jeremy stars as "the Naked Emperor," while Krissy Lynn (Little Red Riding Hood) and Andy San Dimas (Snow White) attempt to settle who is the "fairest" one of all. And even though it's all censored, odds are you won't want to play these at work.
Who didn't see that one... er, let me rephrase: who didn't expect that at the end?
Convinced to buy the game yet? Yeah, me neither. Maybe the "chainsaw massacre" trailer will help?
...wow. That did absolutely nothing for me. Sorry, Playlogic, but I have to be brutally honest here: this looks like little more than a generic shovelware action-platformer whose sole appeal might lie in the blood and adult themes. And I doubt that will even take it very far.
The most hilarious part of this is that the game is for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 when the graphics look like something that could easily have been pulled off on the PlayStation 2. It actually surprises me that they didn't release this for that instead. Or perhaps clean it up and send it off to the Wii. Or don't clean it up; I have a hunch it would sell about the same either way.
Some might say it's an art style choice... but would anyone really believe that? Perhaps a "choice" in that someone made the "choice" to not spring a full budget on this thing.
But, maybe I'm being too hard on this. If someone grabs it and finds that it's a great game, be sure to let me know. In the meantime, along with the videos above, Playlogic sent us this press release about free DLC for the first 90 days the game is on sale. Make of that what you will.
So, uh... enjoy?
