Xbox 360 Version of Borderlands is Skyrocketing in Sales Over the PS3 Version

So Borderlands we've seen it, we've played it, it's awesome. Borderlands has been receiving great reviews all around and is in my opinion a fantastic game. Sales of Borderlands on the Xbox 360 have been great, selling 299,283 copies in the first week. Meanwhile on the PS3 side of things, the game only sold 93,905 copies! So the 360 version has sold three times the amount of copies as its rival.
The big question is, why? Sure there were some online issues on the PS3 and some other issues but some have already been fixed via patch and the rest to be fixed soon. I doubt that would cause such low sales. Personally I think it's because of the user base on the PS3. Think about it, the Xbox 360 comes with a headset out of the box which automatically lets you communicate with other players. Doing this brings the community together closer as you feel more in touch with others in games when you can actually speak with them verbally.
The PS3 makes you buy your own bluetooth headset so there are tons of times you'll join a match in any game and not hear a word from anyone, which in turn just makes it feel like you're playing against bots because there isn't any human feeling to it with no communication. Lets face it the XMB on PS3 just isn't up to par with the 360's friends list and cross game communication and everything else yet. I would bet those are a lot of the reasons for poor sales for a game pretty much based around co-op with friends and others.
Any thoughts on the subject? Drop a comment and let me know what you think the deal is.
