No Demo for Assassins Creed II

As a lot of you may know the original Assassin's Creed didn't have a public demo before its release either. Surely not having a demo for a game can hurt sales depending on the games hype at the time. I do think Assassin's Creed could of possibly done better if it had a demo before hand.
A Ubisoft representative told Connected Consoles during the Eurogamer Expo that there will in fact not be a demo for Assassin's Creed II as well. Could this be bad for the game like it may have been for the first? I think Ubisoft is making the right decision by not making one, the game has been drastically improved and all of the videos and previews have shown this. The game should be able to sell itself just fine I believe.
