Ubisoft this week revealed that the upcoming Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction will have a collector's edition. It will mostly include cosmetic extras but also the first mentions of multiplayer.
For $80 in a metal case, the collection will include a credit card-sized USB device containing a making of featurette, concept images, and other art. Other visual extras not tied to the USB device will include a prologue comic to the events of the game, an art book of the entire Splinter Cell series, and some stickers.
The collection will also include a couple bits of multiplayer DLC – currently the only content announced for Conviction's multiplayer. There will be an exclusive sub machine gun with suppressor called the SD3, along with a character skin resembling a third echelon uniform.
The collector's edition along with the game will ship to North America on February 3rd 2010 for Xbox 360 and PC. The description of the collector's edition given by Ubisoft only confirms the collector's edition for Xbox 360.
