How surprising, more Modern Warfare 2 news!
Only a week left till this years biggest game hits the shelves and pre-orders are massive and only getting larger. As of this moment Modern Warfare 2 for the Xbox 360 is on the very top of the U.S pre-order list with 1,714,204 pre-orders and rising. The PS3 version has around 650,396 pre-orders and rising.
Apparently PS3 gamers aren't as excited for Modern Warfare 2 as 360 users are. This strikes me as odd, why does Xbox 360 have such huge numbers? It's almost 3 to 1 and pretty much staying the same. I guess it is safe to say that sales for Modern Warfare 2 are going to be substantially higher on Xbox 360, I would guess it has to do with Xbox Live having better features when it comes to talking and gaming with friends. With the Xbox 360 coming with a headset right out of the box it's easy to see why talking with others on Live is an easy thing. PS3 users must go out and buy a headset to start communicating with other players which quite a few PS3 owners don't do.
A lot of people find communicating with teammates in a game like Modern Warfare 2 very important so maybe that is why the 360 has so many pre-orders? Or maybe the PS3 just attracts a different kind of gamer and that gamer isn't a big war fps player? We shall see how it turns out next week when Modern Warfare 2 is released on the 10th.
See you next week on the battlefield!
