TheKartel.com recently pitted real Djs against Activision's first-of-its-kind DJ Hero title. Djs went head-to-head on two Tvs each with their own copy of the game running, while the action was broadcast live on Justin.tv.
Five popular Djs got together with staff for a night of beats, alchohol, and discussion about the game. The group found that the game was definitely entertaining, but wouldn't actually be a subsitute for learning how to DJ.
One of the staff members went up against the Djs and proved that gamers seem to be the ones the game was made for. "In many ways, the results do seem to reflect the opinion that DJ Hero is really designed for gamers first and foremost, as opposed to being a fully accurate DJ experience," thegreatone writes on his Kartel blog. The group also found the game to be reasonably priced for the entertainment it provides.
